DEVIL’S ARCHANGEL: GOV. AMOSUN CONSPIRES WITH ASSEMBLY SPEAKER TO FORCE LAWMAKERS TO APPROVE N277 BILLION BANK LOAN FOR HIM TO USE FOR 2019 ELECTION

Not withstanding the dire financial situation of the economy, the Ogun State government, Governor Amosun, in connivance with the Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly has requested for a blank capital loan of 277 billion Naira to throw the state in further debt, our sources in the state has alleged.
Secret Reporters sources indicate that the Speaker, Rt.Hon Suraj Adekumbi and his clique in the house were about to approve the outrageous and scandalous request before Hon Alausa kicked against it and insisted that all 26 members of the House MUST be present before such a request is granted so they can go back and tell their constituents that their state will be in further debt to the tune of 277 billion Naira.
For a long time, the House have requested for the debt profile of the state, both foreign and local, and outstanding obligations owed to contractors by the State government, but the requests have so far been unsuccessful with the governor and his cohorts keeping that information in utmost secrecy, and none of the Executive Members are willing to reveal the exact figures the state is owing as debt.
The new loan request by the Governor will throw the state into further debt and the overriding effects will be too much for the next government to bear when the repayment of the humongous debts incurred by the Amosun led government is being done by the new government.
The Governor had earlier made a law which mandated a two third approval from the House of Assembly before such requests can be granted. Having to go through illegal channels, with the help of the Speaker and his clique of greedy lawmakers should outrightly be condemned by all citizens of the state as the governor obviously does not have the interest of the masses at heart.
It’s not clear as at press time what he intends to use the loan for, but one of our sources did not rule out the possibility of using it to prosecute 2019 elections.
