DELTA COMMISSIONER FOR TRANSPORT, UDUAGHAN IN BRIBERY SAGA AS MARINE SCHOOL PROVOST LURES HIM TO DECEIVE OKOWA TO DISSOLVE COUNCIL BOARD

Findings at Secret Reporters news desk is that, the acting Provost of School of Marine Burutu, Dr CEO Anuku is involved in a bribery saga with the Commissioner of Transport, Permanent Secretary. Transport and Director Marine Services.

The well orchestrated plan is to lure Governor Okowa to dissolve the Governing Council of the Institution.
Our findings also shows that, last week in Asaba, the Acting Provost of the Delta State School of Marine Technology, Burutu, Dr. CEO Anuku who is a self acclaimed Doctor has bribed the Honourable Commissioner of Transport, Mr.Vincent Uduaghan, the Permanent Secretary of Transport and the Director of Marine Services, Engr Odiete to thwart the efforts of the Governing Council in following Federal and State Government approved procedures for appointing substantive Vice Chancellors, Rectors and Provost in all Nigeria Universities, Polytechnics, Monotechnics and colleges of Education alleged sources.

The Acting Provost we gathered, went to Asaba last week Thursday and Friday but could not gain access to the Commissioner since he had no money with him, he thereafter returned back to Agbor to prepare some tubers of yam and came with some bribed Governing Council members, Dr Alex Obuh and Mr Gabriel Ndinwa who are his kinsmen, met with the Commissioner, PS, and the Director gave them the tubers of yam, and some brown envelopes to ensure that they lure the Governor to dissolve the Governing Council or ban the Chairman of Council.

In his words, the Commissioner of Transport assured Anuku of meeting the Governor to do just that. As at this morning, Anuku sued the institution, the Governing Council and the Chairman to a High Court sitting at Bomadi but on advise from the Transport Commissioner, will be on his way to withdrawing the case against the institution.
We gathered that His Excellency, Dr Okowa a man of integrity has earlier directed the Governing Council to follow due process and produce three candidates for him to appoint from, this directive the Chairman and Council wants to implement which is being impeded by the Acting Provost and some of his bribed men.

It is on records that the acting Provost was sacked from Ozoro Polytechnic on Friday, March 12, 2010 for passing over 300 students without writing examinations and some other listed crimes which was confirmed by the Delta State House of Assembly , where his the sack was confirmed by the assembly, he falsified his age thus having two different ages and dates of birth, one 59years at the institutions records and the other 62years at Head of Service/Pre Audit nominal roll records.

Investigation shows that, Anuku has no evidence of BSc statement of result, nor a certificate neither a Masters result to prove that he graduated from his acclaimed Independence University, Missouri USA; at the moment, he parades himself as a Ph.D holder from the Madonna University Okija whereas in a publication on the Guardian Newspaper of 6th August, 2012, NUC detailed clearly institutions approved by it (NUC) to run and mount Post graduate programmes leading to the award of MSc and PhD in Nigeria, whereas, Madonna University was not listed.
The Marine Institution, which remains the only one in owned by the State Government and in the State and sited in Ijaw land, is going through hell, as the acting Provost is bent on draining all the funds in the school. In a statement by a staff, says, “the school has turned to a corruption breeding ground since the assumption of Anuku”; the staff lamented.

We further gathered that, plans are now on desk to stop the Governing Council and its chairman in producing a credible candidate. Further investigations reveal that the Acting Provost was erroneously promoted to the post of a Chief lecturer this year after he misled Council to do that; yet he is not qualified for the position of a Substantive Provost based on the criteria and qualifications approved by the Federal Ministry of Education for appointing substantive Vice Chancellors, Provosts and Rectors in the Country.

In a recent development, Anuku and his men posed security challenges at Burutu peddling fake rumours that Burutu town is no longer secured whereas he stays in Burutu and has been in Burutu for the past five years; this he did to scare Governing Council members from attending an emergency meeting where he boasted that the Governor is his Ika man and he will do anything to ensure that the Governing Council is dissolved, Anuku boasted.
