“Disclaimer My attention has be drown to an online publicatiocn made by secret reporter today Friday 22nd April, 2016 with the head line “ Months After NBA Chairman Was Assassinated , DESOPADEC Member Amos Itihwe Threatens to Kill New One”. I state with all sincerity and purpose of proper information to the general public that the said publication is false and unfounded as it lack facts. The Story relating to the NBA sticker is one that has to do with a pastor and two of his lawyer friends. One of the pastors friends who always make use of the pastor’s car placed an NBA sticker on the car and the other friend who is also a lawyer drew the attention of the pastor to it with an oral threat of dealing with him if he does not remove the sticker. This resulted to a misunderstanding between them. This is an issue between friends. In the first place, the said car do not belong to chief Itihwe so why will he take armed men and start shouting sporadically like the story asserted. Chief Itihwe in his usual nature of settling issues and making peace when informed of the matter only made move of settling the issues between the pastor and his lawyer friends and that lead to meeting with the NBA chairman Ughelli Chapter. Itihwe never insulted nor threatened to assassinate anyone. He has never done that before and will never do that. I totally conderm the publication by secret reporter whose major aim is stomach infrastruction which they think can only be achieved through blackmail and character assassination. I call on the general public to reject and disregard the story in its entirety as its only aimed> at bring down the good image achieved by Chief Itihwe over the years. Itihwe is a very humble man, who love peace and has contributed to human and nation building in different capacities. He will not be distracted in any way by any blackmailer but even more focus in actualising the SMART agenda of his Excellency Sen. Ifeanyi Okowa to the letters. I also call on the NBA to disassociate themselves from elements like secret reporters as such association is capable of bring down the image of the institution.”
