HOW SENATOR NWAOBOSHI USED COUNCIL MONTHLY ALLOCATION TO HOST SENATE PRESIDENT, ORS FOR THANKSGIVING

There is heightened fear and worries engulfing the Oshimili North LG Council secretariat now as the power tussle between Senator Peter Nwaoboshi and Barr Fred Ajudua thickens. It would be recalled that these two chiefs were never the best of friends until the senatorial ambition of Chief Nwaoboshi and third term bid of Mrs Pat Ajudua forged a forced relationship between the two parallel camps.
In what some political watchers termed ”Election for us all and victory for each” situation, the two camps appear to have dipped down to individual course after the highly rigged election that brought the two candidates to power.

The Nwaoboshi’s camp is on its own, as it has continued to sideline or down play the Ajudua’s camp. Recently, their differences were made public during a thanksgiving service by Senator Nwaoboshi.

According to the Ajudua’s camp, Mrs Pat Ajudua was ill treated at the occasion as the Deputy Speaker who is from Ndokwa/Ukwuani constituency was made to take the role of Mrs Pat Ajudua as the host lawmaker. Again, information has it that Senator Nwaoboshi has washed his hands off the murder case of one Emeka Onianwa which the Ajuduas are very much involved in.

The animosities between the two camps have now been extended to the LG Council secretariat. In a recent development and according to a Whistle blower, one Daddy Osinkor, some councilors said to be loyal to Barr Fred Ajudua were suspended for 3 months without pay and it is alleged that the chairman of the council, Mr Louis Ndukwe who is a well known Nwaoboshi boy was instrumental to the suspension of the Ajudua’s loyalist councilors.

According to the report distributed by Daddy Osinkor and sent to Anioma Voice captioned ”NDUKWEGATE”, the primary reason for the suspension of the councilors was because of an alleged fraud in the council committed by the LG Chairman. He stated in the report that the victimised councilors were suspended because they queried the LG Chairman over the said fraud relating to some bailout funds released to the council by the state but said to have been tampered with by the council chairman and has therefore,not been able to pay workers salary for some time now. The report continued, ”the councilors were suspended because they chose to stand on the path of truth.

They wrote a protest letter to the Local govt commission and when the executive arm learnt of it, it aided some other councilors loyal to Nwaoboshi to suspend these outspoken councilors” In Daddy Osinkor’s report, the social crusader is questioning the LG Chairman to disclose what happened to the money earmarked for the legislative quarters and why council workers have not been paid their salary. He is also alleging that the money used by the LG Chairman, Mr Louis Ndukwe to host his political godfather and Senator for Anioma, Chief Peter Nwaoboshi in the council chairman’s house was from the LG account.
