While the Delta State Governor, Mr Ifeanyi Okowa believes he is dining with a political ally in the person of the State House of Assembly Speaker, Mr Monday Igbuya, Secrets Reporters can authoritatively reveal has dug the governor’s political grave with some key Urhobo kinsmen.

Many days of getting information that Igbuya is working with another known political figure in Delta State, Mr Paulinus Akpeki, who was the former Chief of Staff to Emmanuel Uduaghan has finally come to light, our ever reliable sources can reveal.

Sources in the know confided in us that Igbuya is making frantic efforts to scuttle Okowa’s chances at the tribunal. Already, the sum of N200 million has been earmarked secretly to give to the judges deciding the case between the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Okowa and the All Progressive Congress (APC) candidate, Mr Otega Emerhor, so as to swing the judges decision against Okowa and order for a re-run.

This plot is not without the support of some key Urhobo Progress Union (UPU) members, who Igbuya has convinced to support him to bring back the governorship to Urhobo land. The sources stated that Igbuya wants to become the Acting Governor, so that he can manipulate the election to favor the Urhobo candidate of the APC, after which he will decamp to the APC.

When our reporter quizzed the source what use it will be to be a three months old Acting Governor, he noted that Igbuya just want to bear the tag of a governor like Mr Sam Obi, whereby he will also have access to loot funds and cover up the track of the past looting. One of those whom he has met for this scheming is Akpeki, where they agreed that Akpeki should decamp to APC on time in preparation for an eventual re-run, which looks very impossible at the moment, going by the tribunal witnessed by our team of reporters.

In few weeks from now, Akpeki will be decamping openly to the APC in line with their plan. Igbuya who was a meat seller before his venture into politics has already reached out to the Orodje of Okpe through proxy to beg Felix Anirah who contested with him under the APC to withdraw his case. Their planned meeting to Orodje is to convince him on the need for an Urhobo man to be there and only Igbuya as acting governor can make it come to pass. Igbuya and the Orodje are not on talking terms, hence the use of intermediary, an action our sources reveal will not be accepted by the Orodje who sees Okowa as a son.

Also in the plot is a former governor of the State who will be joining the APC soon for the imaginary battle ahead, as well as two House of Assembly members who were denied the PDD ticket but won under the opposition.

Igbuya’s media aide, Mr Henry Ebirieri Ovie has already began to do damage control ahead of his boss plot, sending out press release that Okowa is the best governor in Nigeria.
