The attention of Secrets Reporters news crew has been drawn to a lowly and archaic rejoinder purportedly written by a media aide to the Chairman of Uyo Local Government in Akwa Ibom State and published by some media houses.
It is not in Secrets Reporters policy to respond to below standard rejoinder, but we have to shift a bit in our policy base in responding.

The above news caption was done from our news desk, and for one to come out to question the credibility of our story, such a person needs to be examined either by a medical personnel or a psychologist considering a national acclaim that news from our stable have been mostly credible; this inclusive.
We have set a standard for ourselves over the years, which have stood us out from the rest.

The person who wrote the rejoinder should have known that we don’t publish conventional news. Secrets Reporters only deal with exclusive news which many media houses are still far from meeting our standard in news reportage.

Since Journalists in Akwa Ibom are in the habit of killing stories, or on the other hand, afraid to report, perhaps for fear of government persecution, or the loss of patronage by government, we dare to inform the media aide to Ekerette Ekpenyong and his boss that WE STAND BY OUR STORY anytime any day. Not even this particular story he came to deny will be an exception.

BROKEN BLOCKS BY TASKFORCE

For the records, the aide claimed that Uyo Local Government does not operate a task force. If we must ask, who are the boys that parade themselves with Uyo Local Government identity cards and go about removing vehicle plate numbers on people’s vehicles in Uyo and sometimes clamping their tyres with dangerous objects?

Who are the members of the task force that stay at Itam junction to get hold of private vehicles when someone wants to alight from the car? We know these because we have been victims of this brutality by the Uyo Council Chairman taskforce members, whenever we come to the state on several occasions, which they only allow us go from their grip, on recognition as Journalists, while our correspondents are not exempted from this demeaning and barbaric actions.

Who are the members of the task force that stay at Itam market to get hold of vehicles for wrong parking when the owners want to buy products from the market?

For a Media Aide to the Uyo Council Chairman to write such weak rejoinder, he deserves nothing but sack, as he lacks knowledge of the job. We as a medium believe that it is the job of the police who committed such heinous crime on instructions from the council Chairman to deny the report; but the itching fingers of the overzealous aide chose to dance around with his watery pen.

What happened to the pictorial bullet shells we got from the scene of the incident? What happens to the knife the policemen left behind at the scene which we took pictures of?

What happened to the broken fence which your taskforce caused to be damaged?
