EXCLUSIVE: GOV UDUAGHAN BRIBES UPU TO NOMINATE DAVID EDEVBIE AS THEIR CANDIDATE TO EASE WAY FOR OBUH

The Urhobo Progressive Union (UPU) has once again proved that they can sell their soul to the devil for a morsel of pottage.

The UPU who had issued numerous press releases condemning Delta State Governor, Emmanuel Uduaghan Secrets Reporters can authoritatively report has succeeded in buying them over, in order to get his toy candidate, Sir Anthony Chuks Obuh to emerge on December 8th Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) primaries.

According to a competent source who spoke to us, the UPU set up a screening committee in order to decide who will fly the Urhobo flag for the PDP. The screening committee which set to work was compiling it’s result which would have resulted in the endorsement of Obaist Ovie Omo-Agege before proceedings were stopped for two days when Uduaghan got wind of the development. His alleged intervention caused the committee to make a U-Turn to recommend Olorogun David Edevbie as the committee choice.

This we gathered was played out by the governor who is not comfortable with the emergence of Obaisi who he feels too strong for his stooge, since he commands more following among the Urhobos. Edevbie is also not known to have the support of the power brokers in Abuja, a fact the governor knows very well. As a matter of fact, sources who spoke to us stated that President Goodluck Jonathan will rather die than have Edevbie as governor, considering the infamous role he played in trying to stop Jonathan from assuming the throne while he held sway as Private Secretary to Late President Musa Yaradua

The emergence of Edevbie is seen as a joker card by Uduaghan who knows that Obuh will defeat the UPU choice anytime any day. This secret choice is already causing crisis among the UPU executives, with many of them vowing never to accept the result of committee whose recommendations have been linked to the public before it is received by the UPU Exco.
