Multiple sources within the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) and Anambra State government has confirmed to us that the state capital, Awka, is currently on fire, as the governor, Peter Obi is running around to save the governor elect, Willie Obaino form being removed as APGA candidate, following an Abuja High Court ruling which nullified the leadership of Victor Umeh as the party National Chairman.
The news which filtered into Awka we gathered made Peter Obi to cancel all engagements, where he went into other meetings with APGA top chieftains to discuss the next line of action. Information available to us from the governor’s camp indicate that Maxi Okwu whom the court has recognized as the party National Chairman will not allow Obaino to be the party candidate, but will find a replacement who will be loyal to him.
