YOU BUFFON, DON’T EVER THREATEN ME AGAIN IF I REPORT AGAINST YOU; TRENT EDITOR WARNS PARROT LAI MOHAMMED

Secret Reporters

There is an internal fight currently brewing between Lia Mohammed, Nigeria’s Minister and head of the Federal Ministry of Information and the Editor of Trentonline news medium.

We have gathered that, the incompetent minister for information, in his quest to gag the media, had gone a step further to threaten the Executive Editor of Trentonline newspaper, Aziza Uko, to withdraw the headline the Editor gave to a press release sent to media houses by Lia Mohammed., even without editing the content.

Although the minister lacks knowledge to understand that, media houses are at liberty to give headlines to stories as it best suit their medium, the minister had through his Chief Press Secretary, demanded a withdrawal of the headline entitled: “Buhari Knows That He Hasn’t Delivered The Promised Change.” And also an unreserved apology, pressing that, the headline was misleading.

The Editor has fired back at the Minister warning him never to issue threats to him again, because the media must operate freely.

The Government has severally been accused of trying to restrict free speech and manipulate the media, rather than deliver on its failed promises.
