WHEN WATER IS THICKER THAN BLOOD: FOR REFUSAL TO ASSIST IN PAYING SCHOOL FEES, FMR GMD NNPC SISTER BLOWS $9.7 MILLION AGAINST ANDREW YAKUBU

Secret Reporters

The last may not have been heard of the whooping N3.2 billion stolen by the former Group Managing Director of the National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Mr Yakubu Andrew and hidden in a dilapidated local house located on Zaria Road, Sabon Tasha, a poor suburb of Kaduna, from where the eagle eyed men of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) located it.

According to Secret Reporters sources, the whistle was blown by a blood sister of Yakubu whom he refused to help.

Rather than pull out few wads of dollars to assist his own blood, he claimed to be broke, since he’s now a pensioner, living on only government pension, which takes months and years to come. We gathered that the sister had approached the secret billionaire for money to pay her children school fees, which he turned down, telling her to save money from salary he pays her managing his petrol station.

The sister got angry when just five tyres were stolen in the filling station, and Yakubu sacked her. Realizing he has so much money stolen from the Federal Government, she decided to blow the lid open.

A  Federal High Court in Kano presided over by Justice Zainab Abubakar has since given an interim order for the forfeiture of the money to the Federal government.

Though the Federal Government promised to reward whistle-blowers, there are still fears in some quarters concerning protection of those who dare to do so as the witness protection bill is still at the national assembly.
