Magnus Ogaraku - NMA Kogi State Chairman

QUICK ARMED ROBBER: NMA CHAIRMAN STEALS N22 MILLION IN JUST 8 MONTHS IN OFFICE, BUILDS HOUSE AND BUY LANDS IN ABUJA

Secret Reporters
The corruption fight going on in the country is yet to hit the doors of health practitioners, as information reaching Secret Reporters revealed that the Chief Medical Directors (CMD), heads of various medical unions are dangerous looters.

Our sources within the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) squealed to us that almost all the chairmen of the various state unions are culprits in looting the association money.
The current Chairman of Kogi State Chapter, Mr Magnus Ogaraku is currently enmeshed in serious financial scandal, Secret Reporters can report authoritatively.

Our source within the body revealed that the association paid a visit to the Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, on February 1st 2017 to discuss plight of members with the government and find solution to it. The Chief of Staff, Edward Onoja also gave N1.5 million to them to cater for accommodation of members who came outside Lokoja.

However, Magnus autocratically shared only N980,000 to the thirty eight members in attendance, while he gave N20,000 to Government House Protocol, while claiming that the balance of N500,000 would be used to lobby for the prompt release of the piece of land for the proposed NMA secretariat.

Unknown to the Medical Doctors in the State, Yahaya Bello also gave the association the sum of N3 million which he never disclosed to the executive members. Instead he summoned an emergency meeting to share Ten Thousand Naira to each of them, and when they asked what they money was meant for; he said he will explain in due course.

In an exclusive letter written by the Director of Socials/NMA welfare, Dr Ameh Friday to the association, he accused Ogaraku of hijacking their duties once money is involved. This prompted an investigation into the matter, which led to the Chairman’s suspension in a communiqué in our possession, pending when the State Disciplinary Committee (SDC) completes their findings.
This medium also gathered that since his ascension to the office, over N22 million has been recorded with N16 million which passed through the association’s account unaccounted for and lacking spending transparency. Over N5.5 million was also collected by him and shared to certain past Chairmen in the state who are working with FMC Lokoja

Some persons who benefited in the N5.5 million scandal are Dr. Ododo Benard a radiologist, Dr. Kassim Oluwamayowa, a hematologist and One Dr. Idu who all works with FMC-Lokoja , while welfare issues of members are left unattended to.
Our insider also revealed that within 8 months of Ogaraku reign as chairman, before his suspension, he has completed his house and moved in already, bought land in Abuja and is developing it as we report.

There is however fear among NMA members that the SDC may not do a good work, as he has already compromised them financially. The Chairman of the committee, one Dr. Ojotule Austin is a supporter of the suspended Chairman, since he appointed him to the position before he was temporarily kicked aside.

Members of the union believe that bribes have started hitting the respective bank accounts of the committee members.
They are
1.) Dr. Ojotule Austin – Chairman
2.) Prof. Edino Stephen Tijani – Member
3.) Dr. Amodu Paul H. O. – Member
4.) Dr. Odebeatu Sam – member
5.) Dr. Adeosun Oluseyi – Member
6.) Dr. NNorom Obioma Jude – Secretary

  1. This publication is evil and not completely true, there are ALLEGATIONS of financial recklessness which is yet to be investigated fully. You have played into the hands of a character assasin, an ambitious fellow whose eyes have been on the NMA chairmanship seat but unfortunately cannot get hold of it, to gather this story. It is very unfortunate, cheap journalism.

  2. Abirun, you better go and look for better job to do.The Niger state experience has cooled off ab?
In as much as I am not defending corruption, I also abhor shoddy job as exemplified by the gutter journalism depicted above. Is the chairman the sole signatory to the association account?
how long has he be working that completing his own house has now becoming a reason to suspect corrupt practices?
When did he started building the house?
Go and find answer to all these questions and some other and come out with a detail report.
If your finding differs afterward form what is being portrayed be ready to render a public apology
