POLITICIANS ADVISED TO SERVE THE PEOPLE
Delta Decides
Delta state politicians have been advised to always put the interest of the people far above personal interest to move the state forward.
The call was made by the chairman, board of trustee of Delta Decides, Mr. Egbonimali Shadrack, shortly after the group’s visit to the Ovie of Ughelli, Oharisi III as part of their voter’s sensitization campaign.
Mr. Egbonimali noted that through collective efforts of Deltans, the state can achieve her potentials and become great; saying that everyone must take his or her input for the betterment of the state.
“Our politicians should always strive to do those things that would add value to the lives of the people.”
“Every public office holder at whatever level of governance has a sacred duty to promote the well-being of the people.”
Mr. Egbonimali stressed the need for proactive approach and high sense of responsibility on the part of those occupying various positions of authority, as that according to him would elicit trust and support of the people.
He urged politicians and indeed those occupying positions of trust to embrace the values of service and sacrifice, as that would help a great deal in moving the state forward, saying Deltans shall elect credible men and women that represents such values.
