While the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) may not be finding it easy campaigning in other parts of Nigeria, it was a different case on Wednesday when the party presidential candidate and Nigeria’s President, Dr Goodluck Jonathan visited Delta State to campaign.

The venue of the rally was filled with overflow even before Jonathan left Edo State where he first went to campaign. On arrival at Cenotaph, he was ushered in with various banners of the Delta State PDP flag bearer, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa.

Campaigning in fluent pidgin, where he wowed the audience with lovely electoral promises, he was interrupted intermittently with the shout of “Okowa. Okowa, Okowa”, each time he screamed “PDP”. Sensing immediately the popularity of Okowa and wide acceptability, Jonathan began to shout, “Oko” and the crowd kept screaming ‘Wa”, an action which repeated for one minute fifteen seconds.
