After waiting for months to see Odudu Ukpanah the only son of late Albert Odudu freed from prison for committing no crime, the Coalition for Human Rights Defenders (CHORD) led by the trio of Inibehe Effiong, John Eneh and Fejiro Oliver took to the street on January 7th 2015 to demand for his immediate and unconditional release.
The event was covered by various media houses including TVC and Channels TV was well attended by well meaning Akwa Ibomites with others coming in from other parts of the country including Edima Bassey who was among those from diaspora

Speaking with news men, Inibehe stated that the Governor, Godswill Akpabio cannot cry more than the bereaved and therefore should order the case closed, since the family are not interested. In the same vein, the sisters of Odudu, Barr. Uduak Ukpana and Ms Ofonime Uduak declared their brother innocent.
