Under the administration of the All Progressives Congress (APC), the Ministry of Aviation awarded several lucrative contracts to Gatplus Dynamic Resources Limited, a company linked to a prominent APC chieftain in Ondo State.

Hon. Gbenga Abiodun Eleduma, a notable figure in the APC from the Owo axis of Ondo State, has been identified as the key beneficiary of these contracts. His company, Gatplus Dynamic Resources Limited, has been awarded several significant contracts by the Ministry of Aviation between 2022 and 2023, raising concerns about the influence of political connections on government procurement processes.

Records indicate that Gatplus Dynamic Resources Limited received multiple payments from the Ministry of Aviation for various projects to the tune of ₦1,433,119,111.11. The projects include:

On December 31, 2019, the National Productivity Centre paid ₦11,877,395.36 to Gatplus Dynamic Resources Limited for capital commitment payment in December, 2019 batch 12c. Payment #1000657352-17, Payer Code: 0227004001.

On October 26, 2020, the Science Equipment Development Institute in Enugu paid ₦12,395,803.32 to Gatplus Dynamic Resources Limited for 15% mobilization for the construction of a science laboratory building at Akannu Grammar School, Akannu Akoko. Payment #1000726311-1, Payer Code: 0228047001.

Gatplus Dynamic Resources Limited was incorporated in Abuja, Nigeria, with Registration Number 1233350. The company was registered on December 29, 2014, and its current operational status remains unknown. The registered office address is Suite B15, McLewis Plaza, Ademola Adetokunbo Crescent, Wuse II, Abuja.

The awarding of these contracts raises serious questions about the fairness and transparency of the process. It is crucial that we investigate these dealings to ensure that public resources are being used appropriately and not for political patronage,” said a representative from a leading anti-corruption organization.
