Kaduna State Polytechnic Lecturer, Habibu Garba Ibrahim Disguises As Contractor to Divert Over N91 Million To Personal Account

Documents have revealed how Habibu Garba Ibrahim, a lecturer with the Kaduna State Polytechnic has violated the very laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria by soiling his hands in contract racketeering thereby violating the Code of Conduct Bureau and Tribunal Act (CCBT) for public officers in the country.

The Code of Conduct Bureau and Tribunal Acts state that public officials should not own or run a private company while employed as full-time staff. However, such laws do not apply if the company or business is in the farming sector.

Perusing Govspend, a government portal that tracks and analyses federal government spending over time, it was discovered that Habibu Garba Ibrahim while serving as a lecturer in the Kaduna State Polytechnic, used his company, Cureject Global LTD to receive contracts worth ₦91,653,828.55

It was discovered that on December 22 2022, the Nigeria Correctional Service paid the sum of ₦11,996,348.55 to Cureject Global LTD for the construction of a motorised borehole with overhead storage facility and reticulation at the Illorin fishery project.

On September 14 2024, the National Primary Health Care Development Agency paid the sum of ₦79,657,480.00 to Cureject Global LTD with no description.

Findings show that Cureject Global LTD was registered on 13 February 2015 with registration number 1242325. The office is located at No.. 44, Umar Adamu Street Yankaba Quarters.

The company has four key directors/management personnel who are; Habibu Garba Rufa’i, Habibu Garba Ibrahim and Shehu Hassan, and Shehu Esq Umar. It was discovered that Habibu Garba Ibrahim, is a lecturer with the Kaduna State Polytechnic.
