INFANT THIEF: RECKLESS GOV.AYADE CONVERTS MUCH ACCLAIMED GARMENT FACTORY TO PERSONAL BUSINESS EMPIRE, AS DOCUMENTS REVEAL

Documents available to us reveal that the Cross River Garment Factory purportedly owned by the state government is a private company, owned by the Governor, Ben Ayade.

We have gathered that, Alphonsus Ogar Eba, who is a lawyer, was used in registering the Cross River State Garment Factory at the Corporate Affairs Commission, (CAC) Abuja on behalf of Governor Ayade as a private company.

As a cover, Ben Ayade is using one Dr. Odi Akatchak Edward to run the company, while Barr. Ubua Emmanuel is one of the directors.

Also, further investigation revealed that the Niger Delta Development Commission [NDDC] had earlier awarded a garment factory project to Ayade, owing to this; the factory is nowhere to be found in Nigeria, which explains the sudden appearance of Cross River Garment Factory.

The state government had earlier scheduled April, 2016, for the commissioning of the proposed garment factory, which was billed to be commissioned by President Muhammadu Buhari and His Wife.

Feelers from the state had queried Why Ben Ayade used Cross River State funds for the construction of a private company.

The garment factory, when operational, is expected to generate hundreds of employment to the unemployed youths in the state with widows inclusive.

The state governor, Ben Ayade stated this at the site of the project when he went on an assessment tour to have first-hand knowledge on the level of the work done at the site.

The project is located along the Goodluck Jonathan Bypass in Calabar. When functional, it is believed, will provide fabrics for the production of Uniforms of all kinds in the state.

This, according to the governor will encourage the entrepreneur skills and discourage importation which will translate to an increase in the state’s revenue.
