How Lagos State Government Awarded Contracts Of Over N100 Million To Companies Without The Mandatory Three Years Taxation Requirement

In what looks like a contract racketeering scheme, data have shown how the Lagos State government awarded contracts worth over 100 million Naira to companies that did not meet procurement requirements to receive contracts from the State government.

In 2022, the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency awarded a contract worth N21,925,000.00 to develop the Disaster Management Policy and establish the framework for an Emergency Management Fund to Messr Lambda Management Consulting Services Limited.

The company was registered on 13 July 2021. Messr Lambda Management Consulting Services Limited, located at 119 Commercial Avenue, Oyadiran Estate, Sabo-Yaba, Lagos State, has its registration number as 1817097.

Also, in June 2022, Lagos State Infrastructure Asset Management Agency (Lasiama) awarded a contract worth N96,889,969.04 for renovation of the Ministry of Physical Planning & Urban Development Building, Alausa Secretariat Ikeja, To ADARI TOTAL FACILITY MANAGEMENT LIMITED.

Findings show that Adari Total Facility Management Limited, located At 56 Allen Avenue, 4th floor, Ikeja, Lagos, Lagos State, has its registration number as 1629611.

More so, in June 2022, the Office of the State Surveyor General awarded a contract worth N2, 800,000.00 for the Supply of Survey Equipment (Mobile Workstations) to Dynamopro Enterprises.

Dynamopro Enterprises, located at 16 Igbore Street, off Iyalla, Mushin, Lagos State, has its registration number as 3499535.

Checks by SecretReporters revealed that Adari Total Facility Management Limited, Dynamopro Enterprises, and Messr Lambda Management Consulting Services Limited, did not meet the three-year taxation requirement before getting the contracts from the State government.

Among other requirements needed for procurement by the Lagos state government is the provision of the current three-year personal Lagos state government Tax Clearance Certificate of the bidding company.
