HOUSE OF COMMOTION: GOV. YAHAYA BELLO TO REPLACE SEN. AIDOKO WITH POWERFUL CHIEF OF STAFF, ONOJA

The political battle for 2019 has kicked off in Kogi State with Governor Yahaya Bello already putting structures in place to dislodge those disloyal to him and create his own dynasty.

Bello we gathered has ordered his Chief of Staff, Edward Onoja who is seen as the De Facto governor, to throw his hat in the ring and test his popularity. One of those to be kicked out by the governor is Senator Ali Attai Aidoko, to be replaced by Onoja. According to our sources, Bello is uncomfortable with the Senator for detesting him and not pledging his loyalty to his failing government.

Other persons who will make up the dynasty include Hon. Ahmed Mohammed representing Ankpa 1 in the State House of Assembly who defected to the All Progressive Congress (APC) sometimes ago on a prearranged move between him and the governor to be given the House of Representatives ticket which is presently been held by Hon Hassan Omale from Ajobe.

Ahmed is a close ally to Onoja who he has been using to cause disharmony in the legislature alleged a source. During the lawmaker’s one year anniversary, Onoja was present where he told the constituents to consider him for a higher position than the House of Assembly.

Unknown to Ahmed, the governor has also promised one Hon. Halims, a former House of Assembly member the same ticket to the House of Representatives.
