The Commissioner representing Ughelli North, Ethiope East and Urhobos of Patani , Mr POC Ovbije has thrown his hats in the ring to fight the Delta State Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa if he dares to remove them from the board of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC).
According to our source, Ovidje who dared Okowa made this known to members of the host communities who protested during the week to Government House calling on the governor to sack all the Urhobo board members, including the Managing Director, Mr Williams Makinde, an Itsekiri man posing as Urhobo and known for his legendary looting of the Commission, with his looting partner, Mr Askia Ogieh.
In a text he sent the leaders of the Hostcom which was forwarded to our correspondent, he wrote “If at the end of the two weeks, you people did not shut down the flow stations, then you can call yourselves any unpleasant names that your group deserves. But if you do so, we will personally hand you people over to JTF for tampering with oil installations”
