That Governor Emmanuel Ewetan Uduaghan has turned Delta State into his personal estate, where he takes money from for personal pleasure is no news, but that his aides have followed in his footsteps is worrisome.
Just while Delta State are yet to get over the shock of the billion Naira choice properties he has amassed for himself, more revelations are unfolding on how his surrogate, the Secretary to the State Government, Comrade Ovuzorie Macaulay also built an eye popping hotel valued for over N1.5 billion. The Hotel which is named SWISS SPIRIT is located beside Alpha Bykees Filling Station, Okpanam. The Hotel is similar to that of his loyalist, who is the boss of the Delta State Internal Revenue Board.
Another of Uduaghan cabinet with itchy finger is the pompous Commissioner for Environment, Frank Omare, who has successfully turned the ministry into a cash cow. Omare who until his appointment was never known to be wealthy has in his kitty a story building called PAMOR opposite the television viewing centre, Interbau, in the capital city. The road to the mansion leads to Illah/Ugbolu Road. The building covered with expensive tiles is valued for over a billion Naira. Omare who made his wealth during the era of flood according to sources collected bribe from Deltans to avoid their properties which is built along water ways being destroyed. The money also earmarked for the project was also looted by the Commissioner.
Delta State Deputy Speaker, Basil Ganagana is also on the list of those who have acquired choice properties with ill-gotten wealth. His own property which is a plaza occupies a major road and is located opposite the Delta State Legislative Quarters, Okpanam, Oshimili North.
