GOV FAYEMI TO ‘POISON’ PUPILS WITH ‘EXPIRED’ PEAK MILK WORTH N650 MILLION

As Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State goes into electoral battle in the next few months to retain his seat as the State governor, he has begun plans to woo parents through their kids.
We gathered that he has ordered thousands of Peak Milk School Smart (ready to drink UHT recombined milk product) products to the state for onward distribution to the 16 Local government areas through the Local Government Education Authority.

The irony of it all is that the milk, whose pictures we have was produced on July 25th, 2013 and it will expire on April 25th, 2014 and it will not be shared to the pupils until next month, when it would have expired, an action which when carried out will lead to food poisoning.
Sources alleged that the milk procurement is worth N650 million deal, sourced from the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB). Speaking to us from Ekiti State, our source queried the governor for going for expired milk, when there are newly manufactured milk in the Friesland industry. “Why subject our future leaders to death in the name of election?”, he asked
