Just like what a corrupt governor who swims in nepotism and favoritism, Gov. Godswill Akpabio of Akwa Ibom State has once again proven that he runs the state like an empire.
His latest achievement towards giving power to his ally is the nomination of his personal lawyer of seven years, Barr. Uwemdimo Nwoko to be confirmed by the State House of Assembly as the State Commissioner for Justice and Attorney General following the resignation of Barr. Ekpeyong Ntekim who resigned from the cabinet to pursue his guber dream.
This was made known in a letter sent to the lawmakers dated 16th December 2014. According to the Speaker, Samuel Ikon, contracts in the State has been stalled due to the absence of a CJ/AG.
As expected, the rubber stamped House of Assembly will approve the appointment once they back from their break.
