Delta State Deputy Governor, Prof. Amos Utuama experienced the shocker of his life on Wednesday as some hefty Niger Delta Militants showed him what made them feared in Nigeria.
According to our sources who monitored the event, the dreaded militants stormed the Delta Government House Annex located in Warri and barricaded the convoy of Utuama who was on his way out. They threatened hell and brimstones if the Deputy Governor does not intervene and ensure that they were paid their December allowances as well as their November own which has been held.
They dared the Deputy Governor to leave the Annex if he will not regret his life. According to our source, they demanded for N1 million per vehicle before they will be allowed to pass. We counted the vehicles in his entourage to be sixteen.
Utuama who was visibly frightened began to make calls, which yielded efforts as members of the Joint Task Force (JTF) stormed the area to disperse the boys. But sourcves in the know confided in Secrets Reporters that Utuama parted with millions of Naira before the JTF could even be allowed to send them away
