Secret Reporters
The coast is clear to get Messer Peter Nwaoboshi, the Senator representing Delta North in the Red Chambers docked before the next general election, SecretReporters can authoritatively report.
Exclusive information obtained by this online newspaper revealed plans by the presidency to keep him out of circulation during the electioneering period, using the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
First on the list to be activated against the alleged corrupt lawmaker is the CCB. Documents exclusively sent to us by our sources in CCB revealed that Mr Nwaboshi is to appear before a team of investigators on September 12th by 11am for petition written against him on ‘Breaches of the code of conduct for public officers’. The interrogation will take place at the Code of Conduct Bureau Conference Room, No 24 Haile Selassie Street, Off Yakubu Gowon Crescent, Asokoro, Abuja.
The invitation letter sent to him was dated 30th August and signed on behalf of the Chairman by Abu, S.I, who’s a Deputy Director.
The petition calling for his prosecution and jail was submitted less than two weeks ago by the Anti Corruption and Integrity Forum, we gathered. Insiders within the agency confided in us that this will be the fastest petition to be treated by the agency, as it takes more than two months to always invite suspects.
Meanwhile, information made available to us revealed that the embattled Senator is considering stepping down his ambition for the leading candidate, Ned Nwoko, who the majority of the delegates and voters have agreed to cast their votes for.
