EXCLUSIVE: SAUL TURNED TO PAUL: GOV OKOWA APPOINTS FRED LATIMORE AS EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT ON COMMUNICATION

Following series of meeting between some of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa’s political and communication key men with Barrister Fred Latimore, Secret Reporters can authoritatively report that he has been given appointment in this government.

The appointment which has been confirmed by this medium was issued to him via letter on Wednesday by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG) Rt. Hon. Festus Agas.

The appointment letter conveys on him Executive Assistant to the Governor (Communication) which begins with immediate effect. We gathered that Latimore has already done the biodata capturing and will proceed with other formal registration tomorrow.

Latimore, a political communicator is the immediate past Director of Communication, Otega Emerhor Campaign, a post he took up in 2014 before the last general elections.

He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Political Science from Enugu State University of Science and Technology (2nd Class Upper) and Law Degree from the University of Lagos as well as a Masters in Public and International Affairs (MPIA) and Post Graduate professional certificate from the Nigerian Law School.

In a chat with Secret Reporters to confirm his appointment, Latimore expressed appreciation to Okowa for finding him worthy to merit the position. He stated that the appointment confirmed Okowa as a politician and leader that rules with open mind and not bitterness, considering how he has been on the offensive while working for the opposition.

He promised to bring his expertise in political communication to play working for the government and Deltans. With this appointment, he becomes the third most ranking media appointee after the Commissioner for Information and Chief Press Secretary.
