Following recent publications by this online news medium on the unprofessional activities of the management of Ahmadiyya Muslim Hospital Ojokoro, Lagos State, the Health Facility Monitoring and Accreditation Agency (HEFAMAA) has moved to shut down the medical facility for violation of laid down rules for the private healthcare sector in Lagos State.
The action we learn was in line with the agency’s primary function of improving the healthcare service delivery in Lagos State, protecting the lives of Lagosians by setting standards and enforcing compliance by public and private operators of medical facilities in the centre of excellence
When our correspondent contacted the hospital secretary Mr Olutoye Bashorun to confirm the action by HEFAMAA, he stated that he has been instructed not to comment on questions regarding the hospital henceforth by the hospital management committee as the Ahmadiyya Mission, the owners of the hospital has stepped in to take control and are now in charge of the operations of the hospital.
