EVIL MEN: DELTA STATE SPEAKER ARMTWIST DESOPADEC MD MAKINDE TO SACK MEDIA AIDE

Secret Reporters

Barring any last minute change of mind, the media aide of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC) Managing Director, Mr Williams will be kicked out of office.

This medium gathered reliably that the media aide, Prince Orhomonokpaye is having a running battle with the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Monday Igbuya, over past reports he published on him in his Delta Guide Newspaper, which brought the Speaker to his knee when he was majority leader.

According to our sources with Makinde’s camp, the Speaker is unhappy that the same man who fought him is now in government and has directed Makinde to remove him, or face problem in the commission.

Confused Makinde we gathered called Orhomonokpaye to go cap in hand to beg Igbuya as well as other Deltans that he published negatively against in the past or never come close to him again.

Our sources who have been monitoring the development revealed that since the beginning of the year, the media aide has not come to the commission’s office or seen near Makinde.

The MD is also said to be angry with him for not covering him when the bribe scandal demanded by Igbuya to pass DESOPADEC budget leaked. According to the MD, it was the media aide that leaked it to the press. He is also unhappy over his inability to manage his media image and negative publicity, especially with this medium and Sahara Reporters. Another of the reason leading to the sack is connected with the money spent on Christmas package and hampers given to journalists, which was traced to the media aide as leaking the amount spent on it.

It is not certain as at press time if the media aide has gone to beg Igbuya.
