Following the loss of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Mrs Evelyn Oboro in the just concluded National Assembly elections, SecretReporters can authoritatively report that Evelyn who represents Sapele/Okpe and Uvwie Federal constituency in the Green Chambers has blamed strongman of Delta politics, Chief Ighoyota Amori of being the reason for her woeful outing.
In a meeting of PDP in Delta Central, put together by the party leadership which held in Golden Tulip Hotel, Uvwie, sources disclosed that Evelyn mobilized Uvwie thugs to the venue of the event and positioned them in strategic positions of the hall. She was aided by Mrs Amioku.
The thugs according to sources were ordered to deal with Amori in the hall, to embarrass him before camera lenses. As soon as the State Chairman of the party, Kingsley Esiso held the microphone to speak, Evelyn and her thugs began to scream “seat down, seat down, seat down, Amori failed Evelyn, Amori failed Evelyn” and began to charge to the high table where Amori and other dignitaries were seated. They were held back by the security men.
Former Governor James Ibori condemned her actions and urged her to apologize to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, for displaying her rude attitude before the number one citizen.
Findings by this medium confirm that her claim of Amori causing her to lose holds no water as she lost her unit and ward to the All Progressive Congress (APC) candidate, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege and only scored 138 votes above the APC in her own Uvwie LGA. She was roundly defeated in Ughelli South, Ughelli North, Ethiope East and Udu LGA.
In 2015, she worked with the opposition against Amori up to the tribunal and Appeal court, sources close to her disclosed to us.
