The name Mr Osanebi Ossai Friday may not ring a bell in Delta State as a whole, but it resonance in his constituency as he is famously called ‘Mr Empowerment’.
The young lawmaker who currently represents Ndokwa East in the Delta State House of Assembly has since gone into hiding since he was returned to the house after making some political promises.
Like the famed statement of “I will water your streams and build bridge in the desert” campaigns, the dubious lawmaker visited Aboh and told the women who he came to see that “If you give me your votes and I return for the second time as your lawmaker, I will give you all (referring to the women) Two Million Naira immediately after I have been declared winner”.
Exactly two days before the election, the same Aboh witnessed heavy rainstorm which destroyed houses and 50 electric poles, hence disconnecting the village from the almost steady power supply they have received from NAOC for two years running.
Again, the smooth talking deceiving lawmaker swung into action and visited them, where he promised to replaced the poles and help those whose houses were destroyed by the rain as soon as he is vote in again. He went as far as saying that he has already ordered the poles and they will soon arrive the community.
With this promise, the people left their own sons namely Olisa Charles of the All Progressive Congress (APC) and Hon Enuma Victor Otuniya of the Labour Party (LP) and voted Osanebi of the Peoples Democratic Party.
Secrets Reporters can authoritatively report that since his victory, the lawmaker has not visited Aboh again, while the whole place is still in darkness and the houses destroyed not yet rebuilt. The N2 million promised has also not been given confirmed a source to us. He has since disappeared into thin air while refusing to pick his phone calls or reply to text messages sent him by his constituents.
