Secret Reporters

Information reaching Secret Reporters has uncovered some of the reasons that caused the Delta State Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa to give Dr Nicholas Azinge the boot from the State Executive Council as Commissioner for Health.

We gathered from credible sources on how the State First Lady, Mrs Edith Okowa through her O5 Initiative gave the sum of N500,000 to a patient with eye cancer through Azinge for immediate surgery. Instead of releasing the full sum, he gave the poor family the sum of N250,000 and sent them to University of Ibadan Teaching Hospital, but they could not proceed since the money was not complete. The patient is currently blind in one of the eyes due to refusal to pay for the surgery.

This medium also gathered that during the admission process for School of Nursing in Warri, Eku and Agbor, the former Commissioner allegedly collected the sum of N100,000 from many of the applicants before giving them admission. “He just cramp money to himself. Na directly him dey collect the dole. He doesn’t know that the Governor has been following him up personally, especially the irregularities in the admission process.

When asked if he built any new house as a Commissioner, one of the sources noted that “We don’t know what he used his money for. Maybe he smokes cocaine with it, while he changes the money to dollars and ferry abroad”
