DEADLY ECONOMIC SABOTEURS: HOW SARS OPERATIVES IN RIVERS STATE AID HAUSA MILLIONAIRES TO MOVE OIL TO THE NORTH THROUGH ILLEGAL OIL BUNKERING

Secret Reporters

The Special Anti-Robbery Squad founded in 1992 as a modus operandi of the Nigerian Police for combating armed robbery undoubtedly has a long history of engaging in criminal, corrupt, and unprofessional activities as insider investigation by SecretReporters has uncovered the shady dealings of SARS operatives in Rivers State alongside their boss Mr. Akin Fakorde whom analysts on social media with the hashtag #EndSARS says are no better than armed robbers owning to their involvement in broad daylight illegal bunkering activities at a premises located at professor Okujiaku road also known as Incar road, Trans Amadi Port Harcourt.

According to our investigation, the property used to perpetrate this illegal act is registered under the name ZALES MAVEL INTERNATIONAL (REG. NO 368156A) with the owner of the land deceased. The premises is currently occupied and managed by one Alhaji Abubakar, who is allegedly related to an Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) in Rivers State.

An insider source disclosed to our reporters that due to Abubakar’s connection to the top, he’s always seen boasting that any security operative, be it the Commissioner of Police or the GOC 6 Division Port Harcourt, that arrest his boys or disturb his business, such a person will immediately be transferred out of the State just by one phone call. This threat we learned was carried out as the former GOC who arrested his boys was kicked out.

Further investigations by SecretReporters also revealed that this illegal activity has been ongoing for so long, as it is common knowledge to many who are familiar with Okujiaku Street, that on daily basis these trucks cause serious obstruction, with five or six trucks constantly seen leaving the premises loaded with A.G.O while SARS operatives patrol the vicinity to protect the bunkers and drivers, and keep them abreast of any eventuality.

As at the time of this report two Trailer trucks were spotted by our reporter leaving the premises on a journey to the North. One of the vehicles, an open trailer truck with drums of A.G.O (Illegal Fuel) deeply concealed inside with other goods has its license plate numbers as YOBE DTR 251 XA. It also bears an inscription TRY AGAIN LATER boldly written on its tailboard. The other trailer which was also fully loaded has its license numbers as KUJ 238 XU, presumably registered in Kuje, Abuja. The inscription TAFIYA YI ALLAH is also visibly written in front of the trailer.

All efforts made by our reporter to access the building and its manager Alhaji Abubakar were futile as the presence of fierce looking heavily armed SARS operatives  guarding the building indicated that any such attempt might lead to assassination.

SARS have come under heavy criticism from Nigerians lately, with citizens calling on the Federal Government to scrap it, due to their inhumane treatment of innocent people and robbing them with the guise of combatting crime.

The Police Public Complaint Unit in response to a call placed to them from our newsroom on the matter said the police was not aware of such illegal activity carried out by SARS in Rivers State and promised to respond to the matter immediately.
