As expected, the Secretary to the State Government, Akwa Ibom State, Udom Emmanuel has finally resigned his position to pursue his gubernatorial ambition.
SR gathered that he officially resigned around 8.45am by tendering his resignation to the governor in a special session council. The State Attorney General, Ekpeyong Ntekim who has secretly nursed the ambition to succeed his boss, Gov. Godswill Akpabio also tendered his own letter of resignation, which was accepted by the governor.
Udom who has already been anointed by the governor to take over the mantle of leadership is expected to declare his intention officially today, with over 1000 groups already in the State to show solidarity.
We also gathered that the Commissioner for Information, Aniekan Umanah who was supposed to resign today, to enable him pursue his House of Representatives ambition refused to tender his, but rather focused on organizing the media team towards Udom declaration.
