Publisher of Ovation Magazine, Mr.Dele Momodu on Saturday, May 16, 2015, turned 55.It has been a life of service to Nigeria and Africa, and the world at large.
Nothing could be so rewarding to him than having committed his years in mentoring, leading and delivering service to people.
Born in May 16, 1960,Dele Momodu had his early education in Ile Ife, and had proceeded to study Yoruba in the prestigious University of Ife, now Obafemi Awolowo University in Osun State and later bagged a Masters Degree in Literature-in English.
Dele Momodu’s upbringing represents a well breed individual from a humble background and from a very religious Christian parents.
With his distinctive virtues, Dele Momodu has become a household name and an authority in Leadership and in the media profession. Only a few individual will be left out in his series of teachings and mentorship.
His qualities have endeared him to presidents of countries and leaders at various levels.
Happily married with children, Mr.Dele Momodu, who is an employer of labour, with widespread coverage in the media, recently announced the birth of Ovation Television.
Like a master of the art, he has distinguished himself as a Nigerian, many look up to. He has undergone series of teachings from our very renowned professor Wole Soyinka, and has been a soyinkean to the core.
In the words of Eddie Asukwo, ”There is no miracle of meriting what we don’t work for, by their general attitude, men toss their coin of destiny.” I call him my Leader, because all that Dele Momodu has stood for, has been merit. He has graciously tossed his destiny to service.
He has tossed it to an enviable height. You just have to dare to dream it .Dele Momodu is a brand identity. The name does not just ring a bell to those that don’t know him, it is a tsunami of hope, it is pedestal of truth, it is a show case of class and style. Who doesn’t want to be identified with this fine gentleman? I am yet to see.
Jerry Rice said, ”Today, I will do what others won’t; so tomorrow I can accomplish what others can’t.” The Publisher of Ovation Magazine laid a foundation to his greatness. Today, in line with the words of Jerry Rice, he has accomplished what others can’t accomplish.
Knowing that the shortest route to success is hardwork, it is no longer news that Momodu has built for himself a reputation founded on integrity which cannot be destroyed.
As General Muhammadu Buhari constitutes his cabinet after May 29,2015, it is time to bring Momodu on board as our minister of culture and tourism, not as a politician, but as a technocrat, to reach out to millions of Nigerians in a bigger platform through his hunger for service and the liberation of mankind from the claws of bad leadership.
Words will not always be sufficient to draw from, in describing Dele Momodu.
My Leader, as you turn 55, we can only return thanks to the Almighty God for keeping and bringing you thus far. Your age is just but a number, not to compare with the lives you have touched in million ways.
As I join the rest of your family, friends, Nigerians and Africans to celebrate this global Icon, may your ink in which you write from never dry.
May the lessons which we learn from you, continue to live with us.
May the years ahead of you continue to be greater than the past.
Today, you become an idol in which many adore. Every eulogies and encomiums poured on you is well deserved. Not too many persons will stand up to be counted the way you have stood all these years…
As the journey of your greatness continues, understand that millions of young minds come under your tutelage without you having to know.
When my life’s history will be scripted, sir, your name will be boldly written. For in my heart, you are engraved like ancient writings. When the meaning of the word “GREATNESS” is sort, your name will give a true definition. You have denied yourself comfort, to see that you render service to the society.
At 55, your greatness continues…
Go Leader…Go…
Can all the firm believers of truth and followers of our great Leader rise to say a big hearty cheers to Mr.Dele Momodu, Africa’s finest breed.
To my Mentor and Leader, Happy 55 cheers to you on your birthday.
We love you, more than what the world could ever offer.
