Concerned constituents of Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency in Delta have raised alarm over what a former lawmaker and supposed candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the last February 25th National Assembly Elections allegedly embarked on that is seen by political watchers as a desperate attempt to upturn the massive victory secured by Rt. Hon. Ngozi Lawrence Okolie through the votes of the people of the Constituency.
They alleged that it has been uncovered that former minority Leader, Ndudi Elumelu has concluded plans to compromise some officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) not to defend the results they declared and the Tribunal Judges to upturn the will of the people in his favour.
The Concerned Aniocha/Oshimili Constituents also alleged that all those concerned in the Tribunal are allegedly targeted for this sinister plot regarding the Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency election which Ndudi Elumelu massively lost to Ngozi Okolie of the Labour Party.
Sources in the PDP, Delta State disclosed to our Reporter that after means and moves to void substantial number of used ballot papers failed, he is now planning to bribe Tribunal Judges and INEC Staff to use frivolous techniques to usurp the victory of Aniocha/Oshimili choice in the last NASS election in the State.
Justifying his thoughts that both INEC Staff and the judiciary have been bought over by the former lawmaker, a source who was at the Tribunal sitting at the Court in Asaba yesterday, said “It’s obvious that INEC have been bought over if not how can INEC be rejecting a favourable evidence of a result they have to defend if not that they have been bought over by the PDP money bag.”
According to one of the concerned constituents “Ndudi Elumelu has concluded plans to infiltrate both the INEC Headquarters in Asaba and the whole Tribunal Judges. His people are already boasting of buying judgement and their confidence is as a result of nothing other than the assurance or feelings that the Tribunal Judges will choose money over their hard earned reputation.
