Nigeria Senator and Borno State former Governor, Ali Modu Sheriff popularly called SAS had his campaign office burnt down today be angry youths who believed that today’s bombing in the town which claimed over seventeen live s was inspired by him.
Our source who spoke to us from Maiduguri authoritatively
revealed that the building was formerly owned by UTC, but it was bought by SAS in November 2013 to be used for his re-election bid. The youths who thronged to the building in their numbers chanted slogans which our source interpreted to be, “today his end has come and we will kill him”
The Senator who represents Borno Central Senatorial district we gathered put a call through to the State Commissioner of Police to stop the youths, but the act had been committed before the policemen who purposely delayed arrived, stated our source.
The building we gathered cost the Senator N160 million.
