Governor Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa of Delta State may still be basking in the euphoria that his prosperity mantra is currently on the move, with some few good appointees to help him realize it.
What is however unknown to him is that some of those appointed so far are ping pong of some desperate politicians who are out to build political apostles at the detriment of the state.
Secrets Reporters can authoritatively report after fact finding that one of the governor’s Special Advisers on Youths and Community Development is not supposed to be in the position, following the manner in which others were appointed into the position.
Information pieced together by our team of reporters who visited Ndokwa revealed that one Mr Benjamin Onwubolu alias Benbestic who was appointed by Okowa as SA on youths and Community Development for the Ndokwa nation is a dummy of the Delta State Deputy Speaker, Mr Friday Osanebi, who is known to have milked the locality he represents dry of their milk and honey.
We have it on good authority that Benjamin was nominated by Osanebi, so as to reward him for his loyalty, against the norm in which Okowa used in appointing the rest. The Isoko Youth President, Com.Victor Egbo alias Last Mugu was appointed into the position, while Ovie Igho, the Urhobo Youth President was also given the position on behalf of Urhobo nation. The Ijaw Youth Congress was not left out, as the PRO was appointed into same posts. The President could not be appointed since he is from Bayelsa State. Surprisingly, when it came to the turn of Ndokwa nation, the process was diverted, and instead of the Ndokwa Neku Union (NNU) Youth President, Mr Enurdi Marcus to be given the position given to his colleagues, Osanebi hijacked it and gave to his stooge.
We can report without controversy that the cause of Marcus not given the rightful position is due to his unending fracas with the Deputy Speaker, who has been looting the Ndokwa nation of N20 million given to all ethnic nationality in Delta State by DESOPADEC for development.
In the course of the election, we gathered that NNU led by Enurdi fell apart with some strong forces in Ndokwa for leading the youth to support Okowa, against the preferred former governor, Emmanuel Uduaghan choice. After the election, NNU paid a congratulatory visit to Okowa where he assured them of their right once government is formed.
The Deputy Speaker is known to be one politician in Delta State who oppressed those against his greed and despotic style of leadership and adores people pledging sycophantic loyalty to him.
Till date, he is yet to fulfill any of the promises he made to old women and youths during the electioneering campaign.
