A 31 years Chidi Monye now at large has been alleged to have murdered his uncle,Israel Monye for failing to settle him after two years of apprenticeship under him .Trouble started when chidi and his mother approached the deceased and demanded that he should honour his pledge made to chidi to enable him start up his own trade having successfully served him(deceased) for two years since chidi lost his father.
An eye witness who do not want his name in print, said the demand put forward to the deceased by the suspect and his mother did not go down well with the late Israel Monye as he alleged that chidi breached the agreement reached.
The source further disclosed that few days aftr the heated argument,chidi surprisingly visited the uncle and hadly he left the house when the sad news of Israel monye’s death broke out and threw the community into confusion.
The incident has since been reported at Owa-Oyibo Divisional Police Headquarters for further investigation
