Documents in possession of Secrets Reporters news reveals that the sacked Medical Director of FMC Owerri Dr (Mrs).Angela Uwakwem has refused to honor the Invitation extended to her by the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission.
Others listed on the invitation who honoured the invitation were the Head of Finance/Account, Internal Auditor, Head of Budget and Planning, and the Head of Administration.
They had appeared before the commission last week on 1st September in a memo number ICPC/INV/GBP/381 sent to them last month and dated: August 27,2015.
The ever arrogant Uwakwem who allegedly looted the hospital without remorse is also known to have influenced the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) from probing her numerous looting of public treasury, boasting that she has the ears that be to save her from any sword of Damocles. Her husband’s forged certificate is strongly protected by her as the anti graft agencies will soon come after him.
Except Angela Uwakwem, who rejected the invitation of the ICPC and had also refused to obey the Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Health in handing over properly to the Acting MD pending the final investigation and recommendations of the panel set up to look into these allegations, others had appeared before the commission for fear of prosecution.
