CELEBRATION; AS NSCDC DECORATES OVER 300 NEWLY PROMOTED OFFICERS IN AKWA IBOM

RECIPROCATE THIS KIND GESTURE WITH SUPERIOR PERFORMANCE… Comdt Eluwade

It was a day of celebration as over 300 Officers of NSCDC Akwa Ibom State Command were decorated with new ranks on Thursday, 21st December, 2023 after their success in the last promotion exercise.

The Akwa Ibom State NSCDC boss, Comdt Eluyemi Eluwade led other service commanders in the state to decorate newly promoted senior officers after admonishing them to reciprocate the good gesture of the Hon Minister of Interior, Hon Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo and the Commandant General of NSCDC, Dr. Abubakar Ahmed Audi mni OFR. He pointed out the fact that the number of 2023 promotion beneficiaries is the largest ever since the corps came into existence two decades ago, while adding that promotion is a very huge motivation factor. He specially congratulated Officers who were stagnated on one rank for 6-10 years, concluding that God’s time is the best.

“To whom much is given, much is expected. As you ascend a new position, remember that is it also imposes responsibility on you. The corps expects you all to be dedicated, loyal and committed to helping the corps achieve its core mandates of protecting lives, properties, critical infrastructures and any task assigned to you as senior officers”.

Four Officers were decorated as Deputy Commandant of Corps, 15 Officers were elevated to the rank of Assistant Commandant of Corps, 21 officers were decorated as Chief Superintendent of Corps, and 30 Officers were decorated as Superintendent of Corps including the CDPRO, SC Friday Ekerete , the Armed Squad Commander, SC Kokoette Etefia Oladipo and the head of Anti-vandal, SC Mike Asibor

The State Commandant was assisted in decorating the senior officers by the Sector Commander of the FRSC, CC Mathew Olonisaye , the representatives of the helsmen of NDLEA, Nigeria Army, Nigeria Immigration, Nigeria Corrections, Nigeria Air force, the Commander of the Quick Response Squad (QRS) of the Nigeria Police, CSP Nuhu Mathias and management staff of the command. The service commanders took turn to give priceless words of advice to the celebrants.

Family members turned out en masse to celebrate with their loved ones, creating an electrifying ambience around the state command headquarters.
