With his ascension as State Chairman of the APC in Akwa Ibom State, Dr Attai has allegedly amassed so much wealth in the three years of this administration than he probably did in his whole life. A source familiar with him alleged that he owns four buildings in choice locations in the state and boasts a fleet of exotic and expensive cars numbering up to seven, all acquired after he became APC Chairman in the state.

The four buildings are reportedly located along Aka Etinan axis of the state with another duplex situated at Stadium road in Uyo, while his cars are packed at different locations in order not to arouse suspicion as to his ill gotten wealth. Locations of his other houses in the state are not yet known.

As a man who rose from absolutely nothing to acquire so much wealth in a short space of time, his flamboyant lifestyle is a source of concern to all who knew where he began.

His wife, who had resigned from her teaching job, now frequents Dubai on shopping trips and continuously boasts to whomever cares to listen, about how wealthy her husband is, stated an insider.

According to our sources, the Chairman’s sisters are teaching in a private Nursery school in the state and earning ridiculous and meager sums as salary while his younger brother, who is a Masters Degree holder, is currently unemployed despite his brother’s wealth and vast connections in the state and Nigeria.

“If the chairman of a non-ruling party in a state can acquire so much wealth as these, what would happen if he was actually the chairman of the ruling party in the state?”, queried a concerned source.
