Secrets Reporters investigation has shown clearly how the caretaker Governor of Akwa Ibom state, Mr Udom Emmanuel has raised a barricade and deny citizens of the state usage of the road because he owns a house on the road at the Line D,Ewet Housing Estate in the state.

Soldiers and police have since been redeployed to guard the road and divert passersby and vehicles from accessing the road.
The state Governor has continued another round of impunity which his predecessor was known for.
Some of the residents in the area who spoke with our reporter lamented bitterly what they have been going through with the blockade of the road.

A source in Government house who confided in our medium, said, “Although it is seen in the government quarters as a security measure, it has brought harassment to visitors in the area who are not privy to the activities of the road block.”

One of the residents who also spoke with us said, “the governor ought to serve the people in the state and not come on board to deny them access to a road which they have been making use of, long before he became Governor.”

An ally of the Governor said, ”what matters to him is just how he can protect his house and nothing else, when he is the chief security officer of the state and ought to be protecting citizens of the state.”
