FRAUD IN PRESIDENCY OVER UNPAID ALLOWANCES IN NATIONAL POWER SECTOR APPRENTICESHIP SCHEME

Reports reaching Secrets Reporters has it that there is a high level of fraudulent sharp practices within the Presidency.
The fraud is said to be committed using the National Power Sector Apprenticeship Scheme which was created by the Presidency of the out gone administration in year 2014.

The programme commenced in February 2,2015, which was a two week programme to train Seven thousand (7000) Nigerian Unemployed youths throughout the thirty-six states of the federation.

The first training of (NAPSAS), was held at the National Open University of Nigeria, Kaduna State, for two (2) weeks, which the participants were entitled to thirty thousand naira (#30,000) feeding allowance and transport, which was later reduced to five thousand naira (#5,000 )for the whole two (2) weeks. Unfortunately, not all participants were paid these allowances at the end of the first training. They were later told that they had problems with their account number information or it was bank internet errors and so on, which delayed payment of their feeding and transport allowances till date.

Although, the participants were to be given Laptops each as prescribed by the training, during inauguration, they are yet to be given.

On 18th May, 2015, they were invited for the second training under the National Power Sector Apprenticeship Scheme (NAPSAS)/National Power Training Institute of Nigeria (NAPTIN), which is to last for a whole month without training or transport allowance but feeding alone.

Secrets Reporters investigations affirms that the Federal Government of Nigeria directly from the presidency claimed to have paid the participants their stipends since February 2015. The participants have expressed shock and disappointment over the information received that they have been recruited and paid their stipends when nothing of such has happen.

The second phase of the programme which has lasted almost a month comes to a close this week, which the participants are requesting that all their outstanding allowances be paid including the allowances of the second phase of the training which they will be rounding up this week.
Calls put across to the coordinator of National Power Training Institute of Nigeria (NAPTIN), Mrs Elizabeth never went through.
