The Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) is currently enmeshed in a secret scandal over the leakage of their professional exams. According to a very reliable source, the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) is boiling with many heads set to roll. 
We gathered that a junior officer whose name we could not get as at press time and works in the office of the Chief Medical Advisory Committee (CMAC) is one of the arrow head of the leakage.
The exam papers are kept in the office of the CMAC, from where he takes it from. The young man has acquired wealth over the years through this dubious means that he drives exotic cars.
According to our reliable source, the man takes the exam papers, copies them and sends the written questions through text messages to physicians undergoing residency. The physicians who troop in their hundreds buys each of the exam papers at the whooping sum of N50,000.
Another Medical Doctor, Mrs. Osiememe of medical services is also in this scandalous and dubious business. We gathered that she also sells the question papers kept under her for N50,000. She is the head of department of Family Medicine, while her accomplice which she uses in sending the text messages is one Mr Ajayi in the X-ray department.
The scandal has led to many of the administration staffs being scattered posted out by the management to avoid them from getting more information that can rope in many of the physicians involved.

Meanwhile the hospital resident doctors are on strike over what they call ‘death of residency’. According to our sources, they go about with black bands in their wrists. Other problems currently experienced in the hospital is lack of light for over one week, even in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Theatres and Labour Ward, while there is constant light in the ward meant for Very Important Persons (VIP) and admin offices of top management staff.

We gathered that the power failure is due to their inability to pay the millions of Naira owed the Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN), while there is lack of money to buy diesel for the generating sets.

Some of the aggrieved staff who spoke to Elombah.com stated that instead of receiving arrears of promotion, they got the shock of their lives when the hospital began to reduce from their salaries, while the pay slip for March has not been given to staff.
