SECRET RECRUITMENT IN CIVIL DEFENCE: THE DIRTY POLITICS AND INTRIGUES; AS POLITICIANS SHARE SLOTS TO CROONIES

Secret Reporters can authoritatively report that there has been massive recruitment in the name of replacement currently going on under the watch of the Comptroller General of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, Muhammad Abdullahi Gana.

According to our investigations, over three thousand (3000) slots, have been shared among top government officials, and politicians, which contradicts the socio-political, and economic reforms championed by anti-corruption crusader ; President Muhammadu Buhari.

Confirmed evidences show that the NSCDC has been issuing offer of appointments into different cadre since 15/02 /2016 at one of her training schools located at Batsari road, Katsina.

One of the angry youths who spoke with our Reporter said, “The Millions of Youths that voted for Buhari could not get access to those appointments because they don’t have any political office holder who would facilitate for them to get enlisted.”
Secret Reporters further findings prove that, the practice going on in the recruitment is that, politicians just have to forward your name to the NSCDC CG for you to get enlisted.

As at the time of this report, a politician from Akwa Ibom State had submitted ten(10) names which they have all collected their appointment letters.
All the prospective officers are to start training on the 13th of March,2016.

Meanwhile, a call placed to the Public Relations Officer of NSCDC, Mr.Emmanuael, seeking to find out the position of the organization on this issue, he was quoted as earlier saying that, “they were only calling back their volunteers who were with the organization before they were laid off.” When our Reporter queried why they were issued appointment letters, the PRO said, “They were working without appointment letters before now, so there was nothing wrong in issuing appointment letters to them.”

Soon after, he called back to say, “he wanted to clear the air, that no appointment letters were issued that anyone with any appointment letter is fake, and I caught, will be prosecuted.”
