Secrets Reporters
The last may not have been heard of the massive corruption taking place in Delta State Oil Producing Area Development Commission (DESOPADEC), as impeccable sources has confided in Secrets Reporters that the sole aim of the Managing Director, Mr Williams Makinde being in DESOPADEC is to divert the commission’s money into the building of Western Delta University, a private institution owned by former governor James Ibori, who is serving jail term in London for stealing the state money as governor.
We can report authoritatively that Makinde was not in Delta State for the New Year celebration as he jetted to London to spend time with his benefactor, Ibori.
While in London, we gathered that he gave account of his stewardship to the man called Odidigborigbo, on how much he has been able to loot from the board and deployed to the university. Among his many account was his giving the commission’s bus to the private owned African Independent Television, brought into Oghara by Ibori.
He also complained to Ibori concerning the budget for the board which is yet to be approved by the Delta State House of Assembly, as the Speaker, Monday Igbuya has demanded for the sum of One Billion Naira out of the Commission’s Twenty Eight Billion Naira, before the budget will be approved. A source confided in us that Ibori promised to call Igbuya to order through Mr Ighoyota Amori, who rigged the Delta Central Senatorial election but has since been sacked by the Appeal Court in Benin.
A very reliable source in the commission told our reporter that the press release by the media arm of the commission denying the report of bribe by Igbuya is only a face saving act, describing Makinde as “weak a man not to stand up to Igbuya when he knows that his appointment is based on forces of London, which cannot be tampered with”.
Following the numerous fraud reports pioneered by Secrets Reporters, we gathered on good authority that the State governor, Ifeanyi Okowa has summoned them to Asaba.
