Government is created and committed to the hands of certain individuals to be the solution to the world`s problems, especially its collapsing and devastating economies. Unfortunately, most vapid cases of corruption, grand theft, and naked plunder of the treasury are caused by government itself leaving trails of wanton destruction predominantly the looting and embezzling of monies belonging to the state.

This is as the government of the day has become dominated with certain individuals having undisputable track record of embezzlement of public funds and using these looted funds to invest in personal business interest to the detriment of the masses. The uncommon transformer Senator Godswill Akpabio might be a typical example of such individual as he is alleged to have used embezzled public funds to finance the establishment of a radio station called “Passion Fm”.

SecretReporters gathered that Sen. Godswill Akpabio who was the minority leader of the Senate and a former governor of Akwa Ibom State allegedly used state funds meant for the establishment of social amenities and infrastructural development gotten while in office to secretly open a sophisticated and fully furnished radio station running into millions of naira with radio frequency 94.5 located at Uyo, Akwa Ibom State in August 2018 and named it Passion Fm.

It was also gathered that the Senator probably in a bid to deliver Akwa Ibom state to the opposition allegedly launched the radio station in other to carry out massive propaganda against the current administration in the state ahead of the forthcoming 2019 gubernatorial elections.

The former Senate minority leader who’s now an All Progressive Congress (APC)  chieftain still have cases to answer with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commision (EFCC) with news making the rounds recently that he is currently been probed by the CBN over an alleged N865billion Unrecorded deposit into three Nigerian banks located in the state capital Uyo.
