GANDOLLAR BRIBE: AHEAD OF KANO STATE SUPPLEMENTARY ELECTION, GANDUJE ALLEGEDLY BRIBES LG CHAIRMEN WITH OVER N223 MILLION NAIRA

Following the unprecedented loss of the supposed high and mighty politicians in the just concluded 2019 general elections and the supplementary elections billed to hold in 22 local government areas in Kano State, it appears that the incumbent governor of the Centre of Commerce, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje is already nervous and has allegedly begun perfecting plans of rigging the elections in his favour.  

This is as documents made available to SecretReporters reveal that following the eminent loss awaiting him if the current election result is anything to go by, Governor Ganduje is currently dolling out alleged jaw-dropping amounts as bribes from the state`s treasury to local government chairmen in areas declared inconclusive where he feels there is need to overpower the opposition party with a very high margin in number of votes.

In a letter dated 12th March 2019 addressed to the Manager of Unity Bank Plc Lagos/Sani Abacha Way, the dollar governor through the ministry for local governments, Kano State, demanded the payment of various amounts to about twelve (12) local governments amounting to N223,500,000 (Two Hundred and twenty-three Million, Five Hundred Thousand).

Close sources to the governor squealed to this online news medium that the unscrupulous governor who has vowed to retain his seat no matter the cost allegedly drew the cheque with number 00000840 specifically to sooth the palms of the various local government chairmen in the areas where elections were inconclusive presumably to have the elections rigged in his favour.

Perusing the document signed by the Director Local Government Inspection, Ibrahim M Kabara and the Permanent Secretary, Abba Ladan Kailani SecretReporters learnt that N14,000,000 (Fourteen Million Naira), N17,000,000 (Seventeen Million Naira) and N18,000,000 (Eighteen Million Naira) were to be paid to Bichi, Doguwa, and Nassarawa local government area respectively.

It was also gathered that N16,000,000 (Sixteen Million Naira), N13,000,000 and N19, 000,000 (Nineteen Million Naira) was to be disbursed to Unity bank account numbers 0005***387, 0019***838, and  0003***827 belonging to Ramin-Gado, Gwarzo, and Sumaila local government respectively amongst other.

It would be recalled that the current results as announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) reflect figures in favour of the Abba Yusuf of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leading with 1,014,353 votes as against Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of the All Progressive Congress with 987,819 votes.
