GAME OF THRONES: INSPECTOR GENERAL OF POLICE ORDERS RIVERS POLICE COMMISSIONER TO SACK OUTRIDER KNOCKED DOWN BY MINISTER OF TRANSPORTATION

Secret Reporters

In what has turned to be a game of thrones between the Rivers State Government and the presidency, the incident which occurred on Saturday between Nigeria’s Minister of Transport and the Governor of Rivers State, with both parties issuing contradictory statements, has taken a new twist.

Secret Reporters gathered from a reliable source at the Nigerian Police HQ that following a directive from the Presidency, the embattled Inspector General of Police, Mr Ibrahim Idris has ordered the Rivers State Commissioner of Police, Zaki Ahmed to sack the Police Outrider in the convoy of the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike who was knocked down by the Minister of Transportation, Mr Rotimi Amaechi last Saturday.

The dice seems to be rolling in favour of the minister who has for long been at war with his successor in the oil rich state. This might be attributed to the fact that as a Minister he enjoys certain federal privileges, and just like the golden boy the presidency wasted no time in swinging the ledge against the outrider who as a member of the Nigerian Police is under the command of the Inspector General of Police, whom is answerable to the office of the President.

Our reporters also confirmed that the Outrider faced Orderly Room Trial on Monday at the office of the Rivers State Commissioner of Police with the SARS Personnel in Amaechi’s convoy testifying against the Police Outrider, who unfortunately might be used as the sacrificial lamb in the power tuzzle between Gov. Wike and his predecessor. As at the time of filling this report the outcome of the Orderly Room Trial is yet to be ascertained.
