CRIMINAL MINDS: HOW AIR PEACE ALLEGEDLY ALLOW TOUTS LOITERING AROUND THEIR COUNTER TO USE UNSUSPECTING PASSENGERS TO MOVE DRUGS

Secret Reporters

With the continuous gross misconduct and unprofessionalism in managing airline operations in the last few months, a leading Nigeria airline, Air peace may soon hit the rock as this incessant managerial negligence seems to have eaten deep like a virulent cell into the fabric of the airline, which many believed has also led most onboard passengers into unsolvable problems.

This is clearly seen in the recent unmonitored and unrestricted movement allegedly granted by Air Peace officials to rogues who disguise as passengers in the airport while loitering around Air Peace counter (check-in barricade) begging and compelling onboard passengers to convey their luggage to Liberia with the unlucky and unsuspecting preys in most cases ignorant of the content of the package or following due process.

Recently, SecretReporters gathered that Nigerians onboard flight P47566 which departed from the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos on June 15, 2019, to Robert International Airport, Margibi, Liberia were subjected to disgrace as they were treated like criminals by Liberia’s Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) who drove most of them to their office, seized their passports, checked their boarding pass to ascertain the number of luggage they checked in and then proceeded to ransack this luggage all in a bid to ensure there were no incriminating substance especially drugs in their possession.

This act we learnt has gradually turned to a norm partly due to the fact that over the months there has been alleged drug trafficking using the Lagos-Liberia route with Air Peace the preferred flight choice because the airline company has allegedly failed to properly check their luggage before boarding as similar incidents had occurred in the previous years where drug dealers use other passengers luggage to carry out their evil agenda.

Shockingly, out of 10 Nigerians serving their jail term in Liberian prisons, about 7 of them were in for drug-related offences of this nature with a good number of them claiming to be innocent over the allegations.

Efforts to get the reaction of CEO of Airpeace Mr Allen Onyema, proved abortive as he did not answer his calls and also did not reply to SMS sent to his known phone number.
